British holidaymakers have contacted Your Holiday Claims after falling ill during their stays at the Sentido Mamlouk Palace Resort in Hurghada, Egypt.
The four star hotel, which is promoted by tour operators including Thomas Cook, has also received criticism regarding the standards of food and hygiene at the hotel.
Visitors to the hotel have commented on the review website TripAdvisor, describing the hotel as âvery grubby and dirtyâ.
Others have reported finding insects in the food served at the hotel, stating: âTerrible and disgusting food. We found a dead insect and once we complained to the waiter he just removed it as if nothing had happened.â
Tracy Stansfield, an experienced holiday claims solicitor at Your Holiday Claims, commented: âWe are concerned by the reports we have received from holidaymakers who have fallen ill at the Sentido Mamlouk Palace Resort in Egypt.
âI hope that the tour operators and hotel management will investigate the reports of illness at this hotel in order to protect the health of all hotel guests.
âIf anyone has fallen ill during their stay at the hotel I would encourage them to contact either myself or a member of the holiday claims team for advice on all aspects of the claims process.â
