British holidaymakers have recently contacted Your Holiday Claims after falling ill on holiday at the Sahara Beach Resort in Tunisia.
We have also read numerous reports of illness at the hotel through the review website TripAdvisor. Visitors to the hotel have commented on experiencing symptoms of sickness, stomach cramps, and diarrhoea.
Hotel guests have witnessed âundercooked foodâ and âdirtyâ swimming pool water. One holidaymaker described the Sahara Beach Resort as âa health hazardâ.
A visitor to the hotel from Kingston-Upon-Hull commented: âI was with a party of 6 and 4 got ear infections due to the dirty water in the pools.
âThe food was awful, all 6 of our party got violently sick for the full stay. We complained to the management and got put in the al a carte restaurant which was marginally better but still poor standards.â
Tracy Stansfield, an experienced holiday claims solicitor at Your Holiday Claims, commented: âWe are concerned to read numerous reports of illness at the Sahara Beach Resort.
âWe have also received an enquiry from two holidaymakers who fell ill during their stay at this hotel.
âIt appears that many holidaymakers currently feel let down by the food and hygiene standards. I hope that the tour operators and hotel management will investigate any reports of illness in order to protect the health of all hotel guests.
âI would urge anyone who has fallen ill on holiday at the Sahara Beach Resort to contact myself or a member of our expert holiday claims team for advice on the merits of making a claim.â
