Your Holiday Claims has recently received an enquiry relating to the Viva Sharm Hotel in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.
There have been many reports online relating to issues with the facilities on offer at the hotel and the food and hygiene standards displayed.
A couple who travelled to the hotel to celebrate their engagement have contacted Your Holiday Claims after contracting scabies during their stay. They found the conditions at the hotel to be way below par and have also incurred heavy costs contacting their holiday sales team during their stay.
The couple have also described the food on offer at the Viva Sharm Hotel as being “inedible” and many others have reported similar issues on the website TripAdvisor.
The quality of the rooms in particular has been called into question, with one British holidaymaker stating that “The room was cleaned about four times in our 15 night stay and we had to ask nearly every day for towels and toilet paper”.
There have been many others who have found issues with the rooms, with commenter saying, “Once the room was ready it was very dirty, shabby, the bed linen was grey and there was a blood stain on the pillow case”.
The food on offer at the hotel has also been called into question with one holidaymaker stating, “The food was very predictable. It did appear that what didn’t get eaten on the lunch got used again for the dinner. In the end we ended up going to the mirage bar across the road for food”.

“Scabies can be spread by skin to skin contact but can also be passed through contact with towels and bedding which have been used by a person who is infected. This means that it is of utmost importance that all cleaning processes are strictly adhered to at all hotels and resorts.
“In this case, we have received an enquiry where the guests clearly feel that they have been let down by their hotel.
