Your Holiday Claims reported an illness outbreak at the Stella Makadi Resort and Spa in Hurghada, during the month of June 2014. In this report we advised that we had been instructed by British Holidaymakers who had suffered illness.
It appears that further outbreaks have recently emerged. We are shocked to be reading on TripAdvisor of guests suffering the same symptoms including, diarrhoea, stomach cramps and sickness.
Holidaymakers have revealed that the restaurants were dirty and the food has been described as “awful” and “just warm.”
After suffering with diarrhoea, sickness and stomach cramps one couple commented: “the fish and beef didn’t taste too good. I don’t know how they store it…..thank you chefs!”
Two friends who holidayed at the Stella Makadi Resort and Spa also commented on the food, stating “the first meal on the first day totally killed me…..I suffered from severe stomach cramps, vomiting and diarrhoea.”
Over the course of the week the two friends said that the food became progressively “worse” and they were advised by an English couple to try the Italian or Lebanese dining halls as the food “is of better quality.”
Another family said that they also fell ill at the resort suffering from sickness and diarrhoea. They commented: “two days before coming home, a notice was put up in the hotel to say there was an outbreak of sickness and diarrhoea! I could have told them that on day one!”
