Holidaymakers reveal holiday horrors after scabies devastates their break
- Family diagnosed with scabies after seeing doctor on return home
- Additional holidaymakers also raise concerns over hygiene at the resort
- It’s still not too late to make a claim if your package holiday has occurred within the last three years!
While researching the reports emerging from Spain, the YourHolidayClaims team discovered a review on the website TripAdvisor which described the family’s events in further detail.
“We had to move rooms 2 days in to [our] holiday because we thought then we got mosquitoes bites; the four of us were covered in red spots that were very itchy.
“I said from the first night it was something to do with the [hotel] beds.
“Arrived home on Sunday and went to [the] doctors to find out we all have the scabies.
“My whole body [is] covered and it’s very itchy and annoying; [I] can’t sleep at night because [I] am that itchy.”
Other online reviews on the Best Negresco Cap Salou made by additional holidaymakers revealed that they too suffered from “bites” and that their bedsheets weren’t changed for the duration of their holiday.
Travel law experts concerned
“It is largely concerning to learn that the Best Negresco Cap Salou has been reported to have a serious problem with sickness outbreaks, and it is even more concerning to learn that families have contracted scabies as a result of this.
“The YourHolidayClaims legal team helped ill-stricken holidaymakers receive over £900,000 in compensation last year, so if you have recently been affected by illness on holiday you could be entitled to join them.
