YourHolidayClaims are concerned to learn that yet more family holidays to the Holiday Village Costa del Sol, appear to have unfortunately been marred by illness.
Recent reviews left on the website TripAdvisor suggest that low levels of food hygiene are a major issue at the four star hotel. One September 2017 visitor of the resort revealed:
âHaving visited several other holiday villages (Portugal, Majorca and Turkey) which were all fantastic, we were expecting more of the same. How wrong we were.
â7 days into our 14 day stay we were served near raw chicken in the Italian restaurant. After eating some before realising it had hardly been cooked, I spent the next 2 days stuck in the hotel room being ill.
âOn day 10 of the break when I felt like eating something again, we went to the main restaurant for dinner only to be served near raw pork.
âSince being back we have had a complaint with First Choice that has lasted 16 months. The procedure is a joke to say the leastâ.
In addition to this other guests have commented on problems regarding hygiene at the Holiday Village Costa del Sol, including this poster who revealed:
âWe have just returned from the Holiday Village and omg we would never ever return again. It is an absolutely filthy dump.
âThe food was absolutely disgusting everything tasted bland. There were flies flying around on the food outside and they were landing on the food as nothing was covered outside.âThe beer was so bad I drank 2 glasses on the first day and was that sick I couldn’t drink it again for the week.
âSpend your money wisely as everyone works hard for their moneyâ¦do yourself a favour [and] don’t holiday hereâ.
