Your Holiday Claims understand that guests are continuing to complain of outbreaks of sickness ruining their stays at the Holiday Village Red Sea in Egypt.
Recently we have received an enquiry from a holidaymaker who is looking to claim compensation, after their family holiday was ruined by an outbreak of Cryptosporidium.
Emerging details from the enquiry reveal that the family suffered from gastric illness symptoms such as diarrhoea and vomiting, alongside other symptoms like headaches, dizziness and a fever.
The family are convinced that their holiday was ruined due to illness caused by poor hotel standards, as they recall being served uncooked chicken that was ‘pink in the middle’.
In addition to this, we have discovered over the years that the Holiday Village Red Sea has been a hotspot for holiday illness outbreaks, by reviewing a number of guest reports on the review website TripAdvisor.
In one particular report, a former guest of the Holiday Village Red Sea conveys their concerns over the cleanliness of the resorts cafeteria.
They complained: “The main restaurant was filthy, one day I dropped something on the floor and when reaching down for it I was shocked to see the state of the tables!”
This holidaymaker also revealed how the poor standards of the hotel affected their family’s health, as they continued: “All 4 of us had severe diarrhoea & sickness and [we] ended up on a drip.
“We drank water all day, washed our hands regularly and stayed out of the heat! The pools were dirty and [I] was totally shocked to see grown men pooing in the pool!”
Furthermore, in numerous other reports on TripAdvisor it’s clear that illness outbreaks are a serious issue at the Holiday Village Red Sea resort. This is as holidaymakers reveal that while staying at the hotel they have been victims of illnesses such as Salmonella, E.coli and Cryptosporidium.
