“In September 2012, BBC Watchdog exposed shocking standards of food and hygiene at the hotel.

“We have successfully dealt with holiday illness claims including, salmonella, shigella, cryptosporidium, e.coli and gastroenteritis and urge anyone who has been ill during their stay at this resort to seek medical attention straight away.

“These illnesses are all caused due to the failures in food and hygiene standards in the hotel and should be prevented.

“Hopefully, First Choice will address this latest outbreak and resolve the issues as soon as possible.

“It is absolutely tragic for even more holidays to be ruined.”
