The team at Your Holiday Claims has recently been contacted by a holidaymaker whose stay at the Hilton Sharks Bay in Egypt was ruined by 5 days of illness.
Others have taken to the review website TripAdvisor, to report outbreaks of illness and poor hygiene standards at the Thomas Cook promoted hotel.
One holidaymaker described the food served as âappallingâ after they were served âuncooked chicken with blood in itâ and witnessed âpiping hot soup poured into cold soupâ.
They added: âWe are still suffering from tummy pain and diarrhoea two days after returning. Thanks for a first family holiday experience which will always remember with regret!â
Another visitor whose partner required medical attention commented: âSadly for a Hilton the food was very poor resulting with the wife being on a drip and taking tablets for the rest of the stay.
âMy son and I both returned with upset stomachs. Will not be returning to this hotel unless the food changes dramatically.â
Tracy Stansfield, an experienced holiday claims solicitor at Your Holiday Claims, commented: âWhere food is served undercooked or lukewarm there is a risk of holidaymakers being affected by serious illness.
âIn this case, it does appear that illness has resulted in some holidaymakers needing to seek medical attention during their stay. It is vital that the hotel management and tour operators ensure high standards of food and hygiene are maintained in order to protect the health of all future hotel guests.
âAnyone whose stay at this hotel has been ruined by illness can contact the team at Your Holiday Claims for expert advice on whether they may be able to make a no win no fee claim for compensation.â
