“Appalling” food and illness at the Hilton Sharks Bay in Egypt

The team at Your Holiday Claims has recently been contacted by a holidaymaker whose stay at the Hilton Sharks Bay in Egypt was ruined by 5 days of illness.

Others have taken to the review website TripAdvisor, to report outbreaks of illness and poor hygiene standards at the Thomas Cook promoted hotel.

One holidaymaker described the food served as “appalling” after they were served “uncooked chicken with blood in it” and witnessed “piping hot soup poured into cold soup”.

They added: “We are still suffering from tummy pain and diarrhoea two days after returning. Thanks for a first family holiday experience which will always remember with regret!”

Another visitor whose partner required medical attention commented: “Sadly for a Hilton the food was very poor resulting with the wife being on a drip and taking tablets for the rest of the stay.

“My son and I both returned with upset stomachs. Will not be returning to this hotel unless the food changes dramatically.”
