British holidaymakers have recently reported failings in food and hygiene standards at Le Royal Holiday Resort in Egypt.
Visitors to the Thomas Cook promoted resort have commented on the review website TripAdvisor, describing their stays as âabsolutely shockingâ.
One guest stated, âAll the family ended up with sickness and were running to the toilet due to the foodâ.
Here at Your Holiday Claims, we have previously been contacted by holidaymakers who fell seriously ill after experiencing symptoms of shigella dysentery at Le Royal Holiday Resort in Sharm el Sheikh.
In recent weeks, the resorts all-inclusive buffet has been described by one holidaymaker as âthe worst we have ever hadâ. They added, âWe were served some sort of roast chicken which was often cold/lukewarmâ.
Anne Thomson, Head of Travel Law at Your Holiday Claims, commented on the reports: âIt is always worrying to read reports of cold and lukewarm food served within all-inclusive resorts.
âWhen meats and especially chicken are undercooked, holidaymakers can be placed at risk of food poisoning. This often results in symptoms of vomiting, diarrhoea and stomach cramps, which can quickly ruin a holiday.
âI would encourage anyone who has been affected by illness during their stay at Le Royal Holiday Resort to contact myself or a member of our expert team for advice on whether they may be able to make a claim for compensation.â
